Realising True Happiness Through Wise Decisions

When we add worry and stress to an existing problem, we block our potential to make wise decisions prolonging our suffering.

However if we rest our mind we create space allowing clarity to arise, spontaneously guiding us to make choices that benefit all.

With clarity we realise the true nature of life, impermanent and interdependent, and our view remains undisturbed supporting us to continue our endeavours with great ease.

In this public talk renowned Dzogchen master Dzogchen Rinpoche will explain that by making wise decisions we can realise the everlasting happiness that lies beyond suffering.

How to Make Wise Decisions

In the spiritual kingdoms of ancient Tibet, people who led lives of generosity, honesty and compassion were celebrated for their contribution to society.

These positive attributes were so revered that the legal system of the day was based upon the abandonment of ten non-virtuous actions of body, speech and mind.

By following these wisdom instructions inhabitants knew which path to take in life with great clarity and certainty.

During this teaching Dzogchen Rinpoche will explain the ten non-virtuous actions and how avoiding them will prevent us from harming ourselves and others. These wise decisions will naturally generate peace and prosperity for all, even during periods of severe instability.

Dzogchen Retreat

The View and Action of Dzogpachenpo

  • Sunday 7th - Friday 12th October
  • GDI Australia, VIC

The teachings of Dzogpachenpo, the highest in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, state that enlightenment is not a distant goal, it is within us and can be realised within this very lifetime.

Just like the revered meditation masters of ancient India and Tibet, when we combine altruistic action with the view of interdependence we too can realise Dzogpachenpo, the Great Perfection.

These wisdom teachings have been preserved in their authentic form from the Primordial Buddha Samantabhadra through a succession of fully accomplished masters to the present Dzogchen Rinpoche so that we still have the precious opportunity to recognise our true potential, even in the busy modern world.

In this five-day retreat, His Eminence the 7th Dzogchen Rinpoche will guide students through the skilful methods which accumulate merit and wisdom and enable the realisation of the great Dzogpachenpo.
